Help with reconsiderations

Hello, I am new to the board, and have been working on my credit for the past few months.  In that time it has gone up 20 points, I was actually even  able to get a car loan.  I have been trying to get a few cards (within limit, I know all about the inquiries).  How do people get the recon to work? Seems like whomever I talk to doesn't know what I am talking about and tell me to reapply (hello? that's gonna give me another hard pull). I'm just wondering if I'm doing it wrong, calling the wrong numbers, or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you tell us what is your score? where did you get it from?

Who did you apply to and for what?

Who financed the car?

Re: Help with reconsiderations

Sounds like your calling the wrong numbers. As soon as the analyst picks up you should state your name and you applied for so and so card and were denied and are asking for a reconsideration of your application. The analyst should know exactly whats going on.
