I am in a difficult situation right now. I went deep into credit card debt after a family health crisis. My utilization is upwards of 90%. Some of it is 0% for several months going forward, but others are subject to some pretty high rates. My payment history is stellar—no late payments—ever. However, I have been repeatedly denied through online applications through Lending Tree, Discover, Upgrade, and Avant. The only institution that is approving me is One Main Financial, and the rates they are offering me don't represent an improvement over what I have right now. I am feeling quite frustrated. Any advice would be much appreciated!
@SoundoftheSuburbs I've moved your post and created separate thread so you can get help you need, specific to your situation.
I am reading that right you have 155k in car loans ??
What is your main goal?! Are you just wanting to lower them to make them managable or are you trying to open something soon!? Getting them (starting with the highest apr first) under 85% First would be my first goal, if you have some that are lower then obviously keep doing the a bit above minimum on them to keep them at bay, but start one at a time to make it more manageable if you can't hit them all at once. If you can provide a breakdown of each one that would definitely help too I am probably the Queen of High Utilization lmao I did a major no no and Maxed out all my cards at once for an expirement not knowing they could have possibly closed them by panic SMH so I am more than happy to help you get a handle on things as I am sure others will also chime in too!
@Jnbmom If you are totaling them it's acutally higher than that but I'm not sure if those are all currently open or all under their name?!

@Girlzilla88 Yeah I just added in head real quick lol. It appears their credit cards are not extremely high but very curious on the car loans ?
@Jnbmom That definitely peeked my interest too, but if the Utilization is high on the cards they definitely want to knock that down too but I am a bit more intrigued by the vehicle side of the fence too (Partially bc I'm a car lover, but partially because that could be a potential dent to knocking down Utl) But I'm excited to see what they say
