Can you payoff the secured loan?
you have a car loan so you don't need another installment loan.
What score did Navy give you on denial?
What score did Cap1 give you on denial?

I personally would pay it off.
I would keep checking weekly the cap1 pre-qual offers... don't apply with them again until you get a screen that says "Congrats, we found these offers for you"
Then apply for 2 back to back!
Once you get a couple unsecured cap1 cards, I would go back to Navy and apply for an unsecured credit card (make sure the cap1 cards are reporting first though.)
Okay thank you so much, I will payoff today.
And yes because I dont want any more inquiries they are piling up..
do you know the time frame it will take me to start seeing the effects of the secured card
