Higher CLI than requested?

I have no expereince with requesting a CLI, I would tend to just request what I thought was a reasonable CLI.

For instance, I have a walmart Mastercard with 1600 CL, I would request 5k. I have a barclays wiht 3K, I would request 8K.

I know a lot of people shoot for the moon and get a half moon.  Meaning they request 20K in the same situation but get 10K.

But what I am curious about, has anyone requested a modest increase in CLI and gottem MORE than requested??

Re: Higher CLI than requested?

A couple of banks will sometimes come back and say actually the system is offering you XX, do you want that? but usually no.

That's why the rule usually is ASK HIGH, and accept counter!

^^^ Shoot high, bc when you ask for lesser amounts as such, they will see you under your cap/max and just instantly give it to you. Id rather shoot for the moon, wait for a counter
