Re: Highest limit w/Amex

Not sure about credit cards from them but charge card wise think of centurion. As long as those guys have the assets to back the card, there is no limit.

Re: Highest limit w/Amex

Yes! Most of the "high limit" Amex cards are probably the charge cards (because they have no preset limit). If your assets support it, Amex will extent a lot of credit on the charge cards.

Re: Highest limit w/Amex

How long have you had it for? Did you request CLI every 6 months?

Re: Highest limit w/Amex

About 6 years. No, I started at $4,000, jumped to $8k on an auto CLI, requested a CLI up to $12,000 a couple years ago, and requested a CLI to $18,000 about 8 months ago.

Have had additional AMEX cards in the past in the $12-15k line range (Delta Platinum/HHonors).

Re: Highest limit w/Amex

My SPG is at $25K.  It started at $19.6K.  I requested an increase to $25K around the 6 month mark.  I'm pretty sure I've read that they go higher than $25K but I think that $25K is the highest that the automated system will approve.  Someone can correct me if I am wrong on that.

Re: Highest limit w/Amex

I am not sure about this, but if i remember correctly, you can go up to 25k with auto approval.  Anything over would require docs. Best to check with them i would guess.
