Holiday Cheer =)

Yesterday I received a letter from Capital One stating that they increased my limit from $500 to $1000, as well as encouraging me to use the card for holiday shopping (fat chance!) so it IS possible to get a CLI from them! It only took 2.5 years of perfect payments and about 4 weeks in the sockdrawer, haha.

Then today...I FINALLY received my Blue in the mail! Woo hoo! It is so pretty too you guys...I can't wait to make my first purchase!

Thanks for all the help, this forum is great--happy holidays!

Congrats on both!
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

Yes, the Blue from American Express.

Originally I apped for the Delta then called and requested "product change" to Blue.

I'm tempted to follow in your footsteps, Megan. Delta vs. Blue. Which Blue did get it?

-
EX - 677 | EQ - 714 | TU - 724 as of December 4, 2013.
-
CC - Bank Of Hawaii - Hawaiian Airlines - $1500 / AMEX - Costco - $1200 (Nov '13) / Discover IT - $1200 / Aloha Pacific Credit Union - $3000 / AMEX - Blue - $6500 (authorized user) / Chase - CSP - $5000 (Dec '13)
-
Closed Accounts - AMEX Platinum.

For me, the regular Blue Points was the choice. I have a cash-back card already and I don't spend enough in a year to justify getting an airmiles card, so I just decided to go with the Blue Points. The rate on the Delta was outrageous at over 17%, and switching to the Blue brought me down to 11%. It just made more sense to me.

Thanks guys, it's exciting =)
