So, everybody has heard of the standard "7-10 day" message after you apply for a card. What's this one mean???
You apply for a Home Depot store card and then get this:
Thank you for your application,
your name here
Your application has been received, but further processing is required at this time. We will contact you within 2 weeks by US mail regarding our decision.
Okay, so it says what it says, but what does it really mean??? Anybody ever get this before and what was your result???
OP ... 7-10 business days is essentially two weeks. If you lack patience, then call the HD BD number listed on the sticky. 2 weeks is really not that unreasonable and I'm sure you would get a response in less than the given timeframe.
OP -- Your signature amazes me -- all those cards were opened this year??

Could see AA/FR if you don't slow down and garden just being honest please don't take offense
Oh noooo...I'm sorry if you inferred something in my OP that wasn't meant to be: I did not app for the Home Depot card (I'm happy with the Lowe's I have). It was just a general question because I came across that particular message somwhere else on the net while I was researching something. I was only familiar with the standard 7-10 day message and not this odd Citi "2 week" message.
Only asked the question out of curiosity.
And as for me, yeah, all those cards between February 2013 and August 2013. Before that, I had no open lines of credit and a couple of derogatories on two credit files. I took care of business pretty quick since. Clean files, growing tradelines all that. Sure I took a big risk doing what I did but my tradelines are all aging and growing at the same time and I made sure at the very beginning that my credit grantors knew I could handle it and that everything was on the up and up. So far zero problems and the more time that goes by the better.
I AM IN THE GARDEN lol ...until March or April 2014 when I make my final moves haha
