I check the mailbox today and had a Pre-Approved Home Depot letter. Can anyone tell me if it will get approved if I apply for the card. The pre-approve was for 3,000. They sent one about 3 week ago for 500 and I trashed it. My scores are TU; 659, EQ; 660, EX 663.

I think it is a real approval for your scores. HomeDepot Card is issued by citi and they are very generous with the CL. My wife has a HD card with $20k CL. Go for it. They normally pull TU in our Area.

This is a citi card and more than likely they will pull EQ on you.  Good score, if you like the T&Cs depending on your inq and number of new accounts on that bureau, I would go for it.

Sounds like DH got the same offer in the mail today. He received one about a month ago but didn't act on it. His scores are roughly 20-35 points higher than what you posted. We hope to re-do the entire kitchen soon so it's timely.

Have you app'd already? How'd it go?

I wonder since Citi won't touch me on any of their other cards would I even qualify for HD? I doubt it. Not that I will app it anyway.

I applied and got 3,000 CL so i was surprised about the cl but that's good for me. Maybe one day I can get a CITI credit card.Time will tell. Thanks for the help everyone. I love this FORUM. Trust me I do love this FORUM

Congrats Kooliad. Make purchases on the HD card and pay it on time for 3 months. Then App for HD MasterCard. It is also issued by citi and you'll get approved with out any problem. HD/Citi combination is one of the best  I have seen. They are very generous with CL and good service both from HD and Citi. I have a HD biz card now. I am hoping to HD Biz MC in the next 3-6 months.

By the way, HD also sells lot of Electronics on their website besides the home supplies. I found several cool things in their Electronics selection.
