Hooters Card

Hey guys

I am new to the CC forum but have been on General Credit repair for a while.

Well i thought I might throw it out the and ask you guys about this Hotters card....

I want to apply for one and here are my scores..

Your Latest FICO® Scores

TransUnion595     Equifax 598       Experian542

I have an Orchard Card and they tell me that they reported the other day to all 3 CRA's but some in this forum think that they are very slow.. I know my score will go up if and when that trade line hits.

Now my question to you guys.

I have one updated CA that is unpaid

With the scores that I have right now with out orchard, do you think that they would approve me?.

Any thoughts about the current scores and getting one of these cards.

I looked on www.whogavemecredit.com but it seems outdated

Hooters will not approve with those scores, sorry to say.  They have tightened up their standards a bit in recent months, and become more stingy regarding CLs and AFs, too.

Also, Hooters requires you to have at least two revolving tradelines on your reports.  If you don't, you'll be denied.

You might be a decent candidate for the 99/500 from BofA.  You can find tons of info about them if you search the boards.  It's basically a partially secured card, you deposit 99 and get a 500 limit.  With spotless history it unsecures in 9 months and you usually get an Auto CLI.

Hi Chuck. I'm in Texas too.

As far as recommendations go....you might want to consider HSBC, or Cap1. IMO you will waste an inq if you apply to: Chase, BoA, Amex, Discover, Citi.

I used this website a lot when I was in repair/rebuilding stage. You plug in your FICO score and it will search for appropriate cards:.....

Have you checked the section of the black menu bar "Get a Credit Card"? That can give you some hints.

You can also go back to whogavemecredit.com and search by score(similar to score watch above).

Have you worked on getting the CA deleted? Just paying it won't help you much, if at all. Getting it removed would probably give you a nice score boost and open a LOT of doors open to you that are shut right now because of it.
