How Accurate is Amex's preselected feature on their website?

I seem to have always been told "We have no offers at this time", but as of recent I tried the preselected offers and was told that Amex has three cards they recommend for me; The Gold Card, The Green Card, and Hilton Hhonors Amex....Any opinions???

Unless your FICO is in the mid-high 700's, with no derogs, few, if any, inquiries and decent AAoA, I'd run, not walk, away from the "recommendations".

It means very little.  Many people who were 'preselected' have been declined upon applying for the recommended card(s).
