How Best to ask for CLI at Activation...? Tips, please!

I would just say, you just got this card but you were thinking you deserved a higher credit line than what was given and you wanted to see if it could be reviewed for higher.

I just did this with BofA yesterday. I called the backdoor # , not the activation #, and said
' Hi, I just received my card in the mail and I'm so pleased. Before I call the activation # I just want to see if the CL that was issued electronically is the definitive amount I could receive before talking to customer representative. If you wouldn't mind taking the time do you think you could take a minute and check for me. Thanks."
After being put on hold I went from 3000CL to 5000CL

You could say you have some BT's that you want to put on the card and could use the extra TL for that.  ..just a thought...lol

This works for my nordstroms sig. I told them I want to keep all my credit line competitive and see if

they can match my highest TL and it works. She also upgrade it from regular visa to Sig.

GL
