How Long to Start getting pre-quals in the mail again?

I just opted back in for pre-quals. I was off it for 6+ years (totally forgot until recently that I opted out).

Just wonder for those of you who opted out & then back in how long until you started getting pre-quals in the mail?

(When I opted in, it said it would take up to 5 days to process).

That is funny. I just opted back in as well. I started getting emails the next day. Letters in the mail a few days after that. I find this funny since opting out took up to 5 weeks to implement.

I've been wondering the same thing.  I opted back in months ago and haven't received anything.  Either I did it wrong or creditors just don't like me...lol

Re: How Long to Start getting pre-quals in the mail again?

I did the electronic version that is supposed to last years sometime back in 2011.  I forget exactly when I did it but I suppose I'll know when it is up.

I originally did it because I had started to receive a ridiculous amount of offers/junk in the mail.  I had a car accident where my car was totaled and the loan was essentially paid off and my credit score jumped a decent amount.  I figured that is what did it anyway.  I started to receive a what seemed like a minimum of 4-5 credit card/car loan/etc offers every single day in the mail and as much as 10 quite a few times.  I got fed up with it because I shredded all that kind of stuff and it was just getting to be a pain in the ass to deal with and seemed outrageous.  It wasn't just one or two lenders that were bombarding me either.

I have kind of wanted to manually opt-in again lately just because I'm curious to see what would arrivre since I'm in a much better place score wise than I was 5 years ago.  Then again, maybe I don't want to see.  I'llf ind out soon enough anyway and maybe i'll want to opt-out again.

Re: How Long to Start getting pre-quals in the mail again?

Yes, that's why I opted back in. I want to see what I'm offered now that my credit is a lot better than it was back in 2006 (I think that's when I opted out)
