I'm looking to get 4 cards from Amex before the end of this year: Gold, Plat, Bonvoy Brilliant, and BBP. By the time I start working on Amex (June) I'll have had 3 new CCs and a new Personal Loan, putting me at 4/6, 4/12, 4/24.
I'm considering changing my roadmap to include getting the Blue Cash Everyday and then the Amex Green as I'll be able to get the subs on those, even though long term they'll eventually be sockdrawered. I would need about 3 months to be able to hit the subs on those, and I'm ok getting the other cards I want in the meantime and as the subs are unrealistic for me to hit anyways. I was wondering if I added those two in if that would put my already high velocity, aggressive plan at risk as that would mean getting 6 new Amex cards in 6 months, for a total of 9 new credit cards this year vs my current plan putting me at 7.
Current Plan:
Late April: get my 4/24 inquiry, the NFCU MoreRewards. 30 days later get:
June: Amex Gold and Plat (all spend on Gold to hopefully hit the sub, uncertain if able to)
July: Marriott Bonvoy Brillian
October: Blue Business Plus.
If I added in the BCE and Green I'd ideally want to keep my plan of getting all the cards this year, just not sure if that's realistic.
EDIT: Green and BCE would come before the other CCs

Amex isnt but why Gold, Plat and then Green?
Are you military?
It would be better if you can give us more insight...

I'm military, and I thought it was implied that the Green and BCE would be slotted first (as I want to get their welcome bonuses!)
If I decided to get the BCE and Green they'd be pushed in before I start trying to get the other Amex cards, I.e., get the BCE, hit bonus, then get the Green, hit bonus, then get the Gold and Plat together and on with the rest of my planned spacing (Brilliant 30 days after Gold/Plat, BBP 90 days after Brilliant (to avoid too quick of velocity)).
The BCE and Green I'd definitely be able to hit the SUB on, the gold is iffy, and the rest of the cards are unrealistic for me to hit the SUB on. BCE and Green wouldn't used much after the SUBs are hit and would be sockdrawered.
I was just uncertain how sensitive Amex would be to all of this. I'd essentially be trying to get 6 Amex cards within a 6-8 month span, and I'd already have gotten 3 new CCs and a personal loan by the time I start building my Amex lineup.
@Skywalker I'll get all of them in one shot, at least that's what I did in my case and AMEX didn't bat an eyelid. I have/had roughly 15 new accounts at the time of approval. This is how mine went - Day 1 applied for the Platinum and was approved for 150k MR @ $8k spend. Day 2, applied for the Hilton Aspire and got approved for the SUB. Day 6, applied for Gold which was approved but denied the SUB (I was okay with that since I already had two SUB I'd be working on simultaneously). Day 9, apped for the Marriott Brilliant and was "approved" for the SUB too. Now something unique happened with the Brilliant application. I got the pop up that I was approved for the card but ineligible for the SUB which I still accepted. Somehow when I hit $6k spend on the card, I still got the 185k SUB the system said I was not eligible for in the beginning. While I don't recommend this bad behavior lol, but if your profile supports it then go for it. I got a very thick file and there was a 5yr old BK7 on my report when I was approved for all the accounts. Goodluck!

Thanks for the DP! I'm currently rebuilding my credit score and am up 100 points in the past 3 months, hoping by the time I start Amex I'll also have 3 lates removed (indications point they will be) which should bump me up substantially and I have a separate late that should be bumped off once I submit the paperwork. All occurred on active duty when I didn't have access to finances.
Your portfolio was definitely a lot more aggressive than mine so that lends me hope that they won't bat an eye for me! I just want to finish NFCU and allow my accounts to age slightly. With your DP I might focus on hitting the Green and BCE SUBs first and then shotgun the rest of the cards I want to see how it goes.
