Re: How accurate is card match?

Amex kept doing SPs on me. When I checked their site there were no offers. On card match it said I was prequalified for Platinum, Gold, BCE & BCP. So it pulled the trigger and was instantly approved for a BCE with the special $150 reward for $500 in 3 months and a locked 12.99% APR. $1k.

I was quite shocked. Seems pretty accurate. They also SP on TU to get your results.

It's not.  Card Match doesn't do the approval for the creditors do it doesn't have the details regarding the criteria that each creditor uses.  Don't rely on the "accuracy" of anything with regard to approvals.  Only an underwriter for a given creditor could accurately gauge your approval odds and they're not going to tell you what your odds are.

That's aweosme!  I am tempted to pull the trigger but I think I will wait till Oct and see where my numbers are.  I'd love to have the BCE!  Btw, I've filled the app out twice, and clicked the x both times. Lol! I feel like they will be more of a difficult fish to fry knowing I'm a homemaker and use my spouses income.  No other card has had an issue with that, but I feel like they will.

Re: How accurate is card match?

The reason why I pulled the trigger is because I could see Amex was hitting EX with SP quite a few times. But the offer was still showing nothing. I think I tested the offers on amex like twice a day at one point.

I guess what I'm saying... chum the water. Check once or twice a week on the actual Amex page. My SP from them did NOT coincide with my checking on the page. So I assumed they were considering giving me an offer on their own.

Of course, YMMV.

I haven't looked at my soft pulls lately.  Can I see those on my score watch, or how would I access those?

Yes, I've already got my free annual report through them 2 months ago.  Except Equifax which I had to pay for, but that's a different story. 😜 I use the FAKOS but just signed for the $19.95 per month thing through Fico.
