How are BofA's spend tracking tools on the Premium Rewards card?
Can I search though YTD transactions with a keyword like with Citi? Any Amex-like tags?
Or is BofA more like Chase with few tools or limited features?
Bump.
Can anyone speak to the spend tracking tools (or a lack thereof) on other BofA cards, at least?

This is a great thread. One of the biggest reasons I love Amex is because of their incredibly helpful online tracking tools.
To really make it a great thread, we'd need to find an actual customer of this obscure little community bank with only $2,300,000,000,000 in assets.
Joking aside, I do love tags...but not the BBP spend cap...or the weak Chase search tools. I'll likely stick with MRs and URs, but figure I'll explore alternatives.
Hey CB14! I was reluctant to reply because although I am a BoA customer, I do not use the tools available and do not have any experience with their tools. However, I was disappointed that no one had come to your aid. So I logged in and clicked around.
I can easily do keyword searches on YTD transactions on any one of my accounts with BoA or any combination of accounts. I can also look at particular categories or any number of time ranges (1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, this year, last year, etc.)
I hope this helps.
Thanks, sunkissed!
Is there any way to attach a note or tag to a posted transaction? Any way to mark posted transactions so that future transactions with the same merchant fall into some sort of customized category?
I don't personally use it much so I don't know if it's good or not, but I don't think it comes with a search function. I don't see any option to show only YTD transactions (rolling 12 months or monthly), and it shows an overview of your spending / income / transactions / cash flow across all of your linked accounts rather than the specific card, so if you already have a BoA credit card, the spending tracking you already have is likely what you'll see even with BoA PR, I'm guessing.
Also, this is on the mobile app. I don't know if they offer anything more expansive on the web app.
You can adjust the category and also create rules to automatically categorize. I don’t see a way to add a custom category, but that may just be my own shortcoming. It looks like you can also re-name the description.
ETA: I'm on a laptop and not a mobile device.
I just found the option to add subcategories. So that is possible also.
