How can I get closed accounts off of my credit report?

I have a short credit history (4 years) I applied for car loans in November. I probably applied to Bank of America twice. I did all that before I started learning about how this all works. Anyway I applied to BOA and never heard anything back from them. But when I look at my credit report in December there are two new revolving accounts! Basically after I applied BOA created two new accounts for me without even giving me the chance to accept the loan. Now this is hurting my score because it halves my average credit history and many cards opened this year. (Why did they list it as a credit card!?) I called BOA they said one of these loan accounts was closed because I did not use it and I closed the other one. I asked if they can take it off my report. They said I have to dispute with the credit agencies. So I called up the credit agencies to dispute and they said that the dispute will not take it off (was disputed as card closed by creditor) they said that if BOA stops reporting it then it will eventually fall off my report. This sounds like pure crap! and I asked how long after they stop reporting it will it fall off and he says he is not sure. So basically he is a lying idiot! Anyway how can I get this off of my credit report since I did not actually ask for the accounts I just applied for a loan to see their offer! Any help greatly appreciated.

Closed accounts stay on your report for 10 years and then drop off.
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

Not sure what specific types of loans or LOC you applied for with BoA but if you take it past the pre-qualification and submit an actual application... well, that's an actual application.  So the CRAs are not removing because it is accurate.

You had no idea about this until you checked your CBRs?  Didn't BoA send you anything?

Re: How can I get closed accounts off of my credit report?

No I did not get anything from BOA and I "applied for a loan" to find out what rate they would offer me. I did exactly the same thing with AMGEN Capital One CitiBank Anyway So I applied for a loan expecting to get an offer. I never got anything and then I just saw the account. So you are telling me that you never actually get an offer they just either give you a loan or not? So they dont say "This is what we are offering you" and you either accept or decline?! I was never offered any loan with a specific interest rate. So I dont understand how they could have just given me a random loan. I expect to see all the details before I decide is that so strange?

I would dispute it with under the principle 'Not Mine'  this one you'd better do in writing.  I would point out that although I applied for the loan, I was never notified f the outcome therefore, there was no acceptance or awareness of the approval.

I would also note that I sought finacing elsewhere as BofA never notified me that the account had been approved and no funds changed hands.  Try calling BofA or writing through planetfeedback.  They probabaly sent your info to an address you lived at 10years ago (oops that's another story).

An auto loan is not a LOC.

This is odd. When ever I applied for a loan and accepted the terms and rates I had to go to bank and sign a contract. I assume these accounts have $0 balances and are in good standing. In time these accounts might help you if they show paid as agreed, and they might also help with your credit mix.

Right Fused, loans are not like credit cards.  I have never seen a loan that I didn't have to sign a promissory note for and the check was handed over.
