How did my credit get so bad, and what can I do to improve it?

M.V. posted a something very interesting in the News section of the forum, and Timothy posted a great url. Imbedded in the url was this link that I think all people should read if they are in the repair stage of their credit journey. It addresses the beneficial use of cc's:

And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

Nope. A severe case of procrastination and foolhardy stubbornness for me, that got me/us in trouble. It was a joint effort. Smiley Very Happy

I will have to take full responsibility for my mess.  Things are really improving though!!!  I think of this as a learning process...plus I've met some great people to boot!

Well...there are several factors someone could end up in a financial hardship!! We are fixing our credit today...something can happen tomorrow...that's just life!! But, I am certain not one of us had any intentions of not taking on full responsibility for our financial actions....we are here now!! How many folks can say that?
