Is there a thread that contains information on how to PC various credit card?
I have a Credit One Bank Card that has a $99 annual fee --- i called a requested a PC -- but their offshore customer service spins me round and round -- and the best they were willing to offer was waiving the annual fee for 3 months.
I have a Citi American Advantage Platinum with a $95 annual fee --- how do I PC this card? it has only been open since March.
Thank you,
Steven

The only thing you should PC credit one to is a "closed account."
Call Citi and ask if you can PC to the double cash card. It's a great card with no annual fee. If they say you are not eligible yet for a PC, ask them when you will be.
Open at least two more revolving cards and then kick that Credit One P.O.S. to the curb ASAP.
Any recommendations on which Revolving credit cards to open?
I just got an Experian Report and score of 585 -- so I should wait a couple months to apply for anything right?

Try the Capital One prequalifier page. If it says you are prequalified for one of their cards, apply for it. If approved, immediately apply for the second card. Then if approved, closed credit one. Wait six months and go for Barclay. Along the way open one quality store card like Walmart, Lowes, Amazon.
Citi is also pretty good with retention offers on the AA cards (except maybe Exec) and will often give some credit or waive the fee entirely (I had to make 5 purchases of any amount in 90 days or something and they would refund the fee). But the card is new (and your score low!) so YMMV.
The Credit One PC made me giggle. I dunno. I am not that ashamed of mine. If they keep being nice to me I won't be closing mine next April when the AF hits. They have refunded me every penny in fees I have ever paid in interest and start up fees. They even bought me dinner when I tried to close the card. $35 credit. So funny! That more than covered my $9.99 credit limit increase fee I paid to go from 500 to 850!
Amex has to be 13 statements old, and you do it over the phone. And that is all I know. I would like to see some type of a nifty chart that lists each bank, if they PC or not, what account requirements are, and how to do it. Any takers?
Safe to go for the Capital One Pre Qualify page -- even after getting a report in the last week ? Wouldn't that be too many hard inquiries in a short period of time?
prequal sites do not hit you with a hard pull.
