I have nothing negative to say about US Bank. I applied for 2 secured cards ( Jan 2020 and Apri 2020) and got them approved. This month I asked them to Upgrade the cards. They made them unsecured and sent my deposit back. Due to the glitch in their system they are still showing as secured cards and CSR suggested I should wait for few statements to cut before I ask for CLI or Product Change. Overall my experience they are a big bank and takes time with every thing they do. But I have nothing negative to say about them. One thing to keep in mind is any CLI or PC requests you ask would cause Hard inquiry. They pull hard inquiries with each request. Just be cautious about it. Other than that nothing negative about them.
@Red1Blue Thank you so much for sharing your experience with US Bank! I appreciate the info! I had heard about hard pulls for limit increases but I didn't know that product changes were a hard pull too.👀😳😱
One point of clarification, standard US Bank PCs for unsecured CCs are not HP. It's possible that @Red1Blue had a combination of those because of they type of products they had, but the DPs for individuals with unsecured US Bank products have confirmed it's not a HP for PCs. That said, US Bank does allow PCs, but they're limited to specific core products.

Their IT department is run by hamsters running on wheels with AMEX math solutions but at least they're trying (???) so that's saying something at least. I wish their app wasn't so.... glitchy to put it kindly but baby steps where the toddler keeps running into everything. I have some issues with their banking but not enough to take mee away. Might be different if I had a physical branch to visit but Texas doesn't have one so shrugs
@simplynoir Thank you so much much for your input! Your reply gave me a great laugh as I imagined some hamsters literally running the IT department!😂🤣😂. Hopefully their app doesn't cause any missed payments or fail a lot.😨

Hi @Jordan23ww I really do not know about the PC would he a Hard or not. When I tried I asked for CLI and PC at the same time and resulted in a Hard. However since my card is still showing as secured card CSR suggested to wait for few statements and then try again. I heard if we wait 7 months then it would be a soft for cli. I have no personal experience if there is a hard for PC. I would know in the next few months. In few months I am going to try to change my US Bank Platinum Visa to US Bank Altitude Go Visa.

The Cash Plus is my favorite utility bill pay CC!
My only gripes are the slow UW for approvals or denials. And the fact, they keep swallowing up some of my other lenders.😂
The way things are going. I'll have 60 plus credit cards all owned by 5 FIs!! 😆😆🤦🏿♂️
@Gmood1 Thank you for the feedback! I appreciate it! I love your credit card lineup! I'm hoping I have an easy approval if I apply! I'll be 0/12 on 11/1/21 but per advice from others in this forum I'm gonna wait an additional month and I'm going to apply in December.

Looking at just US Bank as an issuer (rather than just Cash Plus): they have the Altitude Reserve. That's all that needs to be said!
@Anonymous Thank you!

@Red1Blue Ohhhhhh, ok! Thank you for clarifying! I hope you're able to PC with a soft pull when you go for it! Thank you again!
I deliberated waited to answer so I wasn't one of the first couple of responses, since I have only been a US Bank card holder for a few months, and have no other relationship with them (no branches near me).
My experience has been fairly positive, but I feel like their online tools are not as well-designed as, for example, Amex, Citi, Discover. They do have apps in addition to a web site you can use, unlike some. But neither is stellar IMO. The app and sites are very similar if not identical for Elan, so I will include Elan in this discussion. I am currently locked out of my Elan account. I can't even pay my bill, except by calling and speaking with a very nice human. The reason is that Elan asked me some weird security question and I guess I got the answer wrong too many times. Perhaps I set up the security question, but it doesn't seem familiar ... shrug. I've physically misplaced the card since I only use it for recurring payments. I guess I'll need to get them to cancel that one and send me a new card. No big deal and they are actually kind of doing the right thing, just annoying that I can't pay, or see my balance, due to their aggressive and perhaps misplaced security challenge. My two US Bank cards work the same way, but so far, I have been able to recognize and remember the security question/answer there.
I'm also not thrilled that I got a $2K CL on my Harley card, but can't complain overall, since the other cards are $10K and $25K respectively.
In general, I am happy with them, but I think their technology is mid-tier. JMO!
US Bank worked excellent for me till now. Each credit card application had a single HP but each application had a manual UW, taking ~2-3 weeks to get the card (no expedite shipment). Some cards have annual benefits and you can place your Netflix or YouTube music monthly subscriptions on them and you would receive the benefit at the end of 11 or 12 monthly cycle.
Not sure why some banks use 2 or 3 HPs for credit card applications. It is not a mortgage.
While I don't have any major complaints there are a few things that Bug me a little. I feel that their website and app come off as a bit dated and not really full of options. Just...bland. They also started me at a significantly smaller CL than any of my other cards. Depite putting more or less use on it I have never once received an auto CLI and contrary to what someone else had mentioned it appears that all CLI requests are HP's, hence why I haven't asked for one. I even talked to a rep on the phone the week after I got the card about the odd small stating limit and it would have been another HP even then. I passed

@KJinNC Thank you so much for sharing your experience with US Bank! I really appreciate it! Hopefully you can get access again to the account you're locked out of. Thank you again!
