What do you want your credit profile to look like before a spree?
Wont the inquiries taken during a spree hurt your chances for approval?
Also to add to it, find out what each company pulls using credit boards and have your score high enough so that you don't get toy limits on the spree. If you don't mind me asking, why an app spree?
I have 1 Barclay Carnival, 1 Cap 1 quicksilver and a target and home depot store card. All cards Ive had since 2009.
I want to get a real prime card preferably Amex BCE ,Southwest Visa and Sallie Mae. My scores are around 680 on all 3 bureaus and I had a chargeoff with amazon store card in jan 2014 so almost 1 year old.
I have no inquiries in 2014 on Experian and Transunion. My last inquiry was jun 2013 on those.
I also have auto loan and a signature loan on Equifax through my credit union opened up on July 2014.
I agree with Nixon. Your score is fine to get prime since you dont have any inquiries but take care of the charge off before the spree and if possible have it removed. Once that is done, I second an app spree for prime - the cards you really want. Be very strategic when you decide to app...
This post was different before, Borderline awesome even.. What happened?
Good New Year's Day morning,

How do you go on a app spree?
I have no idea. My closest two card apps were a month apart. There must a reason why people do sprees. Maybe it’s the potato chip feeling, just can’t have just one. Or maybe they think other lenders don’t notice anything so soon; it's not so of course, inquiries are instantaneous and are a solid indication of which accounts may be on the way.
My reports have been fairly dormant for the last some years. Got a car loan three years and four months ago, my most recent card a year before that. Snapping out of my Rip van Winkle nap though this year. Credit union checking, mortgage preapproval, most recently mortgage approval.
Come closing day, my plan is for the CSP, DW the Freedom card. I figure these accounts won’t make much difference scorewise, and nobody will be looking anyway. Then in a year, FICO stops counting them all. Is that too how spree appers think?

I tested the waters to see if it was warm enough to take a dive. Then I did. And it was good.
