Re: How do you keep track of your reward cards?

I pray never to make things so complicated that I need a “system.” I have 6 cards and I want to trim down in order to make things simpler. If having tons of cards and an involved system of spending works for you, though, more power to you!

Re: How do you keep track of your reward cards?

I spent a day and created excel sheet, with comparison of all benefits. I went through every card’s guide and compared thir travel insurance, auto rental, limits, conditions, foreign fee, all of what i might use.
Purchase protection is pretty standard on most cards, 120 days.
The clear winner was costco citi, which has even better travel insurances than a marriott visa, that is a paid travel card.

Re: How do you keep track of your reward cards?

I keep my cards uncomplicated and try to have a use for each one.

- Disco has my groceries right now for 5% but that spend will normally go to BBVA at 3%

- PayPal Business Debit funded by PayPal Cashback MC = 3% back on everything

- PayPal Cashback for 2% on larger purchases that I want standard credit card protections on

- NFCU cashRewards for Member Deals perks that go beyond 3% cash back

I’d advise against keeping rewards dormant with credit card issuers. Redeem as fast as you can and have it sit in a savings account.
