How does discover cli works?

How does Discover CLI works and how often do we get and what do they see for cli's?

I can only speak for myself. I've gotten auto raises for several years every 9-12 months. The amount is usually $1000-$1300 each time. I've never called and asked for a CLI.

I get my CLI's every three months like clockwork. That works for me!!

Hi DI, do you do any thing special. Do you pay in full every month or carry balance? What is your spending to credit limit ratios? How many cli's did you get so far?

I recd CLI q6moths up to 12K. I've read that it is their current max. I'll check it in 5 months.

I do nothing special. I pay in full every month. I only purchase gas and food on the card. I don't think I ever charged over $100 on the card. I started with a $2500 limit. Moved up to $3400 in October and to $4100 this month. I expect my next increase in April to take me to $5300 or more to match my recent ClI with another creditor.

I have never got a CLI from them, ever. I'm stuck at $2,000.

I thought that was $12K max for an opening CL and $16K max with CLI's.

I received $2k initial CL in March 2009. Then I requested phone IVR CLI at 6 months...received $2k for total of $4k CL.

I plan to request IVR CLI again in March 2010, which is 6 months from my last CLI and my 1 year anniversary on the account.

I am getting prepped to hit the IVR again. However, since Discover reports CLI's to the CRB's immediately I want to do their's last. Citi's is done. I think I need to call Macy's about the Visa CL next, but I want to use my store account first. (Store account not used much these days!)
