How does one get upgraded to World MC?

I was just simply wondering how do i get upgraded to WMC with Cap1? What kind of requirements are needed? 

Im not really giving any info only because im just trying to seek some information for the future, not seeking a jump to WMC right now but for the future.

The account has to become elegible and the minimum threshold for Capital One's WMC or Visa Signature is $5K.

Alright how does it become eligible? like is there more requirements besides a 5k cl?

It becomes elegible based on its history, usage any internal scoring that Capital One uses along with any AR/SP information that provides your overall CR profile and scores.  Most of the time, it's usually by invitation or solicitation to PC.  If your CL reaches the $5K threshold, then you can request a review to see if it's elegible to PC.

Afaik and based on experience, the only way to go from Platinum MasterCard to World MasterCard is during a product change and having a credit limit of at least $5,000. There doesn't seem to be any other method to get upgraded. So for example, if you have a Venture Platinum MasterCard converting it to VentureOne or Quicksilver would trigger the upgrade. My Platinum MC was upgraded to World MC via a recent PC to Quicksilver.

I think  your CRs need to be clean, like no late payments, no collections as well.

I PC'ed my Citi secured MC to an AAWEMC about a year after it unsecured. At the time I still had a paid lien and CAs. though they were about 5 y/o.  No hard pull.

Nope.  I still have two lates, and one paid CA from 6 years ago.  It is possible.

Today I asked the chat rep to upgrade my Plat that used to be an orchard to a card with rewards.  He replied that he could make it a Quicksilver, and when I accepted he said it would be a Quicksilver World Mastercard.

Back in August I called the "Rewards" phone number on the Cap1 web site, based on a tip I found here to see if I could upgrade my Green Cash.  The rewards rep transferred me to a "Card Swap Department" where the rep offered me a choice between Venture and Quicksilver with World Benefits, as the Cash was being phased out.  I took the QS World.

This is after I had asked the Execs for a world card or sig card more than once, and had been denied countless times by CS reps. 

I assumed that when I got my 10k limit I would get a World card automatically, but that was not the case.  I'm not sure if my new one is going to come with a higher limit or not, but if it doesn't, then I will have a World Card with only a 1700 dollar limit.
