Your so lucky...I wanted back in with Amex I pretty much burned them for $10k. My BK have been like more than 10 years now and I still can't get in with them. I'm really tempted to pay them back just to get in with them. What do you guys think? Please advise.
Hmmmmm....that depends. Has your bankruptcy fallen off your CR yet and what's your overall credit profile right now? Also have you tried to pay the amount that you owed Amex or reach a settlement with them on that? I mean I've seen certain people who have made mistakes with Amex in the past when they were younger and burned them and it took quite a long while for them to get back in their graces. It is possible but certainly not easy but if they do decide to let you back in, you can always try to see if they can backdate your cards for you.
I have a question about this as well (even though this is a resurrected thread)
On the amex site if it says "see our special offers for you" and I click "already a member, login" It just takes me back to the credit card home page. No offers, and no page that says "sorry we couldn't find any offers for you"

Assuming you had to pay the whole $10K, would you get $10K of benefit back? (Certainly some do, but would you!) This is of course aside from any moral or ethical concerns about whether you should pay back debt.
