How forgivng is BOA?

My Chex systems says I owe Bank of America for about $300. Completely possible with overdraft fees. Anyway, I cannot get a bank account at most places, but they just gave me a secured card. Not sure if one affects the other. Definitely try it. I was sure I would be decline but approved right away.

Credit unions usually still give you checking accounts, Navy won't pull Chex, neither will Penfed, and US Bank didn't for me just a few tips
