This method does not work for everyone, Congrats for your success, but it has been widely documented that a call to CS is much more effective across all Synchrony cards.

Not sure if you've followed this thread at all, but the situation at hand has already gone through the call to CS and the discussion now has turned to sort of a "Plan B" method of attack [to possibly raise the limit further].
Ive had mine for $5k for awhile now. Everytime I ask for more they tell me that their policy does not allow for a higher limit. I have a Discover card with $25k and Amex at $27k, FICOs 760+.

Interesting recommendation to possibly attempt again online. Is the interface used for the Amazon card idential or very similar to Lowe's? Can anyone with Amazon chime in on this and verify if you can request a CLI after logging into your account online? I think he'd be more willing to try the online method next go round if that's an option.
The Amazon online CLI screen is almost identical to Lowe's. There is also an online chat feature available weekdays.

Interesting, seems like you're in a similar boat as my father. Obviously that "policy" reason they are giving you is BS based on the countless examples of Synchrony cardholders with monster limits out there. I wonder what it takes to get a "real" reason. I really would like to know!

Cool, I'll have to look at my Lowe's one to see what it looks like. I also didn't know about the chat feature being an option. Has anyone gone down the Synchrony CLI route via chat, and if so what were your results?

I got an increase two weeks ago via chat, 1500>3500 which is what I requested. I had been previously denied with both online and calling CS.

How long before your chat approval were you denied via the online and CS methods? I'm curious if it was fairly quick after trying those other ways or if enough time elapsed that your profile had improved, perhaps significantly.
Good to know, thanks for that info.
