Given the history of Comenity some of their cards can get way up there. That said given the typical APR of a Comenity card, these cards should be paid in full each and every months or any benefit is lost to paying high interest. With a $4k current limit, I'd suggest you have a high enough usable limit so I'd look to real bankcards for high limits rather than a lender like Comenity.
Comenity is also well known to "shut everything down" and close accounts for no good reason such as late payments or other defaults - they don't like pay in full every month, so it kind of defeats the purpose of having any card through this lender.
My wife has a BJ's card (MC/V) through Comenity with a $12,800 limit, I refuse to have ANY card through them (with cause after they shut down my Total Rewards card with a perfect payment history), but we also have a Sams Club MC (Sync $10k) and Costo ($12k Visa Citi) card - all are PIF every month.
My limit is $14,800 and I stopped asking for CLIs 2 years ago.. I'm sure they would go much higher if I asked.

Being that you're not exactly a mere mortal Irish, yours doesn't count. lol
I noticed they SP my EQ about every six months. Sometimes when I go to the site I get a pop up about the card. I haven't tried applying for it as yet though.
Those of you with the increasing limits, how do you use your cards? My original limit was in the range of $4k, and I've never even come close. I've used it lightly (compared to that limit!) but semi-consistently.
I usually run 2-3% util; with recent spending both planned and emergency I'll top 10% for about a month. I wouldn't mind more room. Should I try the SP button, or would that set off alarm bells?
I started at $2k and my card topped out at $4300. For some reason it they wouldn't increase it anymore and I finally sent it to the grave about a year ago...
