Haven't been here in a while so not up to date on much. Thinking about getting an Amex again. When I left them it was on good terms so shouldn't be an issue.
I'm curious how they are treating everyone lately?
Well, so far they seem to love me more than every other lender. I was on a perfect role with them until my latest app for a 3rd business revolver but they denied me because the business SPG had a 3k balance (on 10k limit) on the first statement. I just paid all 5k off for it's SUB, so I am waiting for my reports to all catch up this month and will give it another try with all zero balances with them.
Service-wise they have been amazing. Every time I ask a question or have used the Platinum concierge they are great to deal with. If Amex had the acceptance of Visa, I would probably stop using most other cards.

They're been nice to be since I got my BCE card. I even got my $250 statement credit after the first statement cut.
I'm so glad to be back in the AMEX family.
I like Amex. I use their cards often and PIF and never had any problems. They probably like me back because of their specialized offers they often send me. Decent iPad app and their website is good.
I only have them because I'm a loyal Delta flyer and I can earn MQM's through spend.
Their customer service has been decent to me, their website is easy to use, and they've been generous with limits, but if Delta ever dropped them as a partner I'd dump them in a heartbeat.
Love Amex. They get more than half my spend.

They are just like any other kind of card issuer, pay your bill on time and don't do anything strange and you'll be fine. However since many (most) of your posts are complaints about Amex i think you should probably stay away.

Many of the complaints are from people how has used the card irresposibly or there credit score has gone down to under 620

Every time I call Customer Sevice it's always someone who sounds like they're based in India who can't seem to hear me... also I can't quite understand them, but occasionally I get a good representative for that reason I give them a 6/10.
As far as the product itself it's a 9/10!
Which card are you talking about?
I don't have a problem with them. SPG merged with Marriott so be mindful of that if looking at SPG card. The amex plat had some changes awhile back which may make it a little more appealing although nothing ground breaking.
