Just curious - do they auto CLI every so often?
Do you have to request it and if so, how often can you request them?
Are CLI's a SP?
CLI request are HPs. And not something given very often.
I'd say it's easier to get another card than a CLI with BBVA.

+1
..You do not see many BBVA CLI's in the approvals section. (same can be said for BMO Harris)
Also I have not tried on mine, probably will not try for at least another year
BBVA makes me very grumpy... I have had their card with the same $2K SL since 12/2018. I took a HP 6/2019 and was told my account was too new. I have seen BBVA give auto CLIs at 9 months and there are a few 9 and 12 month CLI approvals (HP and you have to call and deal with their awful customer service) but by and large, what you get is what you are stuck with for awhile.
I have heard it's easier to get a second card but I wouldn't know since they won't even let me check for a prequal offer and I'm not taking a HP for another $2K limit.

Seems so - since getting approved for this one early last month, I got another mailer from BBVA for the same card with an invitiation code that ends April 29th. I don't dare apply, prob mailer just AUTO sent out in the mail without BBVA knowing I already was approved for their CC.

You also wouldn't get the SUB. They seem to have a lifetime restriction per card (so you can get it for BBVA Rewards, for example). There are a few that have two ClearPoints cards though. I will probably grab a second one myself if the US Bank app doesn't work out for some reason.

@Anonymous ..I see Freedom is on your goal list, I PC'd to that because the FU was redundant for Me.
2 of the quarters I really use and offset The (2) Disco it's and Cash+
(sadly I rarely use the Clearpoints, to many other cards with the same)
Where are you at in the 5/24 realm, if you don't mind to answer that?
Sorry, not wanting to derail the thread here.

😔
I am at 18/24. I am on Credit Journey though so I will keep an eye out for offers when my BK falls off. It's a long term goal but like you, I would only use it for one or two quarters.
@Saeren
I am right here with ya buddy
I have had this card for over 7 months now and was hoping for a CLI at the 7th statement cut. I spent more than my credit line every month and made multiple payments so the card always reported low when the statement cut but otherwise would max and pay off. I did not get a auto CLI like I was hoping but I knew from previous posts that I probably wouldn't. I guess at the 1 year mark I'll have to request one with a hard pull.
I love this card and the rewards, I have made more cashback with this card than with any other cashback card due to the additional emails with even more cashback for categories I already chose for that period; but hate the tiny limit they gave me and the horrible apr.
I have been thinking about cancelling it and getting a bank that wont give me a toy limit (all of my other cards had good SL) and then not increase it even with so much monthly spend but I can't find another card like it that I qualify for so I guess it's either use my 1.5% cash back or put up with them.
At least most people get a decent SL with them. Good luck I hope you get lucky and get a AUTO CLI I believe it's 7, 9 and 12 month marks.
