>>I have made more cashback with this card than with any other cashback card due to the additional emails with even more cashback for categories I already chose for that period.

When did the email offers start? I have had the card a month now and other then the welcome email, I haven't gotten anything.

Re: How is BBVA when it comes to CLIs?

It took a couple months before I got my first one but they have been basically every other month at the most since March of last year.

Re: How is BBVA when it comes to CLIs?

Yeah I have only been getting the emails with bonus offers for 3 months now. I always choose groceries as my 3% cat and they sent a 4% grocery offer a few months ago in my email. I clicked activate and it said done and around the 12th the next month I got the 4% bonus; but it stacks so that month my cashback for grocery and walmart purchases was 7% and it was so awesome!

Re: How is BBVA when it comes to CLIs?

There is not a lot of current info on the topic. I was just approved for a CLI.

Opened 8/2019 , SL 11k , bal $3.9k

Acct 8mos old, 1wk shy of 8th stmt

TU hard pull, CLI +9k, new CL 20k

Completed within 24hrs.

Advised to wait 6 mos between requests.

I won't go into the painful details of what I went through with BBVA a month ago but to say I experienced first hand one of the most incompetent account reviews. Not sure if that influenced the CLI decision. And be careful using those 9% no fee promo convenience checks for large amounts and paying off the balance within the cycle to not incur interest, they really don't like that.

[4/25] Scores 8/9: 700-800s. Util: 1%. Inq/12: EQ 0, EX 0, TU 2. AoOA=16.8y, AoYA=6m.
TCL $693.5K: Personal $562.5K, Business $131K.

Re: How is BBVA when it comes to CLIs?

Very useful thanks for posting. Here is my info

Opened 9/2019 , SL 900

Acct 7mos old, 2wk shy of 8th stmt.

I had CH7 D2018 they were not included and didnt have them at the time

had 2 old cards that didn't cancel because of BK so I had that active history

When they pulled EXP I had 670 score. Its 709 now.

I may try myself since you had success not sure but that does at least give me hope that they wont HP and tell me my account isn't a year old yet.

I wouldn't try it yet personally. Most people don't report success before a year. You have the lowest limit I have ever seen on that card so I would definitely wait a year.

I haven't seen anyone else with a limit this low either. I'll wait thanks.

Search past posts from MF member Peghede. His posts are a couple years old-but he was able to get his BBVA AMEX into the 60ks through periodic increases.
