How is Chase with CLI?

Last night while replying to this post I hit the luv button again (I'm baddddd !)But like I said I only have two inq's on TU.

Here's my Chase update first. Got my Freedom card in March w/ 3500CL. A month later they wouldn't CLI but gave me another card for 2000CL which was immediately closed and CL brought over to Freedom for a 5500CL.

Tried for another CLI twice and was denied.

Two weeks ago app'ed for a Chase National Parks Conservation Visa CC and was approved for 3500CL. I transfered 5000 from my Freedom over (that's all the CR said I could do, I wanted to do it all and close card). The NPC Visa is at 8500 and Freedom at 500.

Hit the luv button for a Freedom CLI after entering new HHI (just married , it went up 60k) and got the 4 hr wait message. I asked for 3500

Two hours later I log on and my Freedom is now 800 !! Great news but disappointment.

Called Recon Lending Services (877-882-1890) and tell them the story , let them know that for another 60k in HHI income 300 dollars is kind of lame. Also tell them that BoA just brought me from 7500 to 12000 two days ago w/ the same info.

She makes me wait a minute and says she'll approve the whole 3500, it's there right now.

I'm going to close out the Freedom tommorrow and transfer it to the NPC visa for a new CL of 12000cl

I guess they are not as stingy as it's been said.

Here's my update for the last two weeks
NFCU Plat 1000 to 5000
BoA Amex 7500 to 12000
Chase 5500 /3500 new card /3500 CLI to 12000

Chase is not as generous as BoA/FIA. All card holder requested CLIs will result in a hard pull, whereas an autos will not. They seem to be quite regular with auto's over the many years my wife has had her card (joint now). Averaging an auto CLI almost every year, except this past year, in varying amounts. It's seems that if you revolve a reasonable amount monthly, Chase will reward you. Again, they are not nearly as generous as BOA/FIA. When it comes to Chase and CLIs and who they will pull, it's definitely a YMMV situation.

The CSR in the Chase credit department told me they like PIF.

I got a $4,000 limit when I opened my card in Dec. In May I asked for another $1,000 and got it a few hours later.

Wish I would have asked for more but didn't want to push my luck..

PIF is when our (DW) auto CLIs stopped. It could be different for everyone though. I noticed more activity and having a balance also helped us with an APR reduction very recently. Our card is FINALLY down to 9.99%.

The music has stopped for now. I don't expect anyone else to extend me credit or a CLI for a while.

But when you're dealt a hand like I was, adding all that income to the house, it was worth the try.

Now I'm considering closing or combining cards. I took The hit in average age but I'm actually still learning how to manage this stuff. It came really fast for me.
