Re: How is Chase with CLIs Lately?

i think with each card they have leading requirements too. seems their freedoms are always the lowest limits for people if they have more than one chase product.

Re: How is Chase with CLIs Lately?

For some strange reason, not so much. After being approved for 2.5k on a Freedom, immediately called in and received HP cli. Before card even got here. I think they start you within the internal limit, divided by x number of cards. If more people would do that, then the lowly freedom wouldn't get so much bad press.

On the other hand, if you recon, or they start you at 1k or less, time to cancel and reapply.

That's how Chase works.  They aren't big on CLIs but if you treat them right and build your profile, they will reward you.  I've had a Chase Freedom at $6k for a couple of years.  Used it heavily, no CLI.  Pulled the trigger on a CSP and got $25,600.

Thanks for the info. That is the same CL I have on my Freedom also.

Re: How is Chase with CLIs Lately?

I recently requested a CLI on my Chase SW card, and they increased my limit from $10k to $28.2k which I definitely think was worth it. I think they "like" me though because I have a couple cards, a car loan, money market, checking, savings, and 2 business accounts with them. I use the cards frequently and typically PIF unless I have a 0% interest thing going on. FWIW I've only had positive experiences with Chase other than a completely incompetent HELOC rep who told me on several occassions she didn't really know much about HELOCs lol.
