How it this possible?

I have defaulted on my student loan a while back but I have paid the loan in full more than 7 years ago. it has dropped off EQ this year but still remained in both EX  and TU until next year. Isn't the date of the debt the same for all CRAs? Is there something I could do to have them drop it like EQ did?

You can always try to dispute it directly through EX and TU for the reason that the 7 years has passed.

I did but they both said that it expire next year. I am perplexed as to how they have different dates for the same debt. I am wondering if anyone else experienced the same problem and how i can persuade EX and TU  to remove it.

I dunno...I wouldn't risk disputing it.  You could risk it staying on longer than necessary.  If it's only a year to drop off just wait it out.

Re: How it this possible?

My guess is that the original debt (or the bad debt) was reported to the CRA's at the same time but made it on some lists faster than others.  All 3 CRA's never seem to synchronize their times very accurately.
