How likely is it that my AMEX BCP will CLD from 26.7k?

I saw a lot of other threads on this from this forum and on reddit. So far mine hasn't been touched yet. I think it may have to do with me taking a promotional upgrade offer from BCE to BCP that caused me to spend $2000 from my tuition onto BCP to get upgrade bonus. However I fear that they will eventually decrease it. I'm also still in school so my income is solely $150/week from grading. However I will make $30/hr in the summer from an internship if my CL will make it to the summer.

I would figure out a way of using the card and paying the card in full each month if you are worried.

I would not open any more cards and make sure your utl stays between 2-8%

Rebuild started in 2014  -  $100k unsecured credit in 2017  -  $500k unsecured credit in 2024.

IMO it’s a waste of energy to worry about it. No one can say whether it will happen to you or not. If it does you can always call Amex and address it at that time rather than stressing about something that may or may not happen. All you can do is use your card and pay the bill.

And, as Revelate suggested in the other thread, suppose it DOES happen?   Does that really impact that much?  The answer is probably "no"!

Also worth noting is that 100% of those that have seen a big Amex CLD in the last 2 months that have called and requested to have their previous limit reinstated have been successful in doing so.

Do they require income proof?

I recall one member being asked about income, but he wasn't required to provide any proof. It appears that AMEX simply wanted to make sure it was up to date.

I will give you my expreience with the CL I have on my amex BCE, which i haven't used in probably 3 or 4 years. Never got a CLD , and the CLis over 20k+. I personally wouldn't worry too much about getting a CLD. I will say this i have other amex cards I use a lot so maybe that is why I never got a CLD.

Sub, I think you might be insulated by the annual fee. I don't recall any BCP limits being reduced at this point. Plus, you just took the upgrade. It'd be a weird time to CLD you.

If you're hit with the CLD, call in and tell them that you built up your limit so it'd be ready for you when you graduated.
