How long before CC closeure due to no activity

I have a HSBC CC that I have not used but 1 time in 7 months from day of opening I just received a CLI. I want to keep the account open I know dormant card useage can result in closure by credit grantors and that does not look good.Any tips on how to handle this deal. Thanks credit 08

Use the card every six months or use for auto pay for SW or TC (if you are a subscriber).

Far be it from me to argue with the sage advice of jaybee...

...but HSBC has been known to close accounts for as little as two months of inactivity.  If it were any other issuer, I'd say to follow jaybee's advice, but not with HSBC.

I've got my NetFlix bill on my HSBC/Orchard Card. I guess I'll be safe then. LOL.

FWIW I remember reading on a thread that BOA closed someone's account for 2 years without activity.

I have SD my HSBC before and didn't use it for about 5 months and they didn't close it. It didn't have a bal Maybe it depends on the card.
