How long for BofA approval?

I applied for a secured BofA card couple days ago but haven't gotten a response. I keep checking the their site and all it says is its being reviewed. But I checked my bank account online and it says that BofA has a $300 withdrawal "pending". Not sure if that means anything since its pending and not actually withdrawn.

Once the withdrawal is made and confirmed, it should be in the final stages of approving the card and then should be in hand within 10 days afterwards (give or take).

There isn't any such thing as an ACH preauth (to my knowledge), so they are really taking it out.  It's been a looong time since I got my secured BofA but I seem to remember they sat on my money for over a week before letting me know I was approved.  It sounds promising for you though.

Re: How long for BofA approval?

Thank you, I will keep my fingers crossed. I also have a secured Capital One on the way. I don't have any trade lines open and really need to get something going. The only thing being reported is my ch13 which falls off April 2016

Best of luck to you. I would hope that they would pull if you are going to be approved.

Mine was pretty much over night.  (I bank with them)

Ive see other take up to 2 weeks.

If they money is gone, you should be approved.  Its usually setup within 3 days of money being taken.  (minus weekends/holidays)

Re: How long for BofA approval?

Mine wasn't for a secured card, but for my Merrill+. Applied last Thursday on the phone. Resulted in the same thing as you. Was approved the next day. Called the recon line to see if I could get a higher limit, but they said they would have to pull TU (Exp was pulled for the application). I said no, but asked to get my card expedited. Got the card today. Too long and didn't read? Call the recon line when you can to be sure.
