So I put in a BT offer through my US Bank CC account tonight, and noticed it said that they send a check to the bank being paid? I thought this was usually done elctronically. Which worries me now as every other CC I've done BT's through, usually post within 5 days or so.
So those of you who have done BT's with US Bank, how long has it taken for you for the receiving bank to get paid???
Thanks!!!
This is something that can't be universally stated since it also depends on the receiving institution and their deposit times but US Bank's website says it can take up to two weeks which is actually much lower than the 4-6 weeks most banks quote.

And also OP, please make sure to make your min pymt due on that acct so there is no backlash if the acct doesn't receive the BT check pymt in time.
As stated, it's going to depend on the lender. Some can be done electronically, some can't. I believe the one USB BT I did in 2017 took a few days, but keep in mind that the delay was probably in the receiving lender processing that. For check payments, USB sends them out right away, but the length of time it takes is not up to USB at that point. They have no control over how long the USPS takes to deliver the check and how long the receiving bank takes to process and apply your payment.
Yes. Their end is quick about it. But whether it's done electronically or by check and how long that takes for delivery and processing will depend on who it's going to. Amex, Citi, Chase? Almost certainly electronic. Local credit union or regional clothing chain store card? Almost certainly a check.
