How long should I wait to re-apply for a credit card I closed?

I closed my account with Avant because they charged $59 AF. I was offered the same card with 2% CB with $0 AF on CK so I decided to close it and re-apply. I waited a month to re-apply but it was rejected because they said I had an open account with them. All my credit show it's been closed. So how long do I have to wait to get re-approved?

why Avant?

if your credit score is around 600, you may be better off with a Cap One card or something else. Even for rebuilding, Avant has a bad bad reputation of AA (read credit karma reviews!) and...ehh... I just dont know what kind of profile avant goes after. I wouldn't waste my time, but I dont know your situation. It sounds like they haven't programmed their tech to account for this situation which to me is another red flag.
