Got advice on this forum a few weeks ago about which cards to pursue. Looking to get Citi DC, Chase Freedom, and perhaps the Amazon Store Card from Synchrony. How long should I wait? Here are updated scores and current HPs:
Jan 2017 TU FICO8 731, VS3.0 744.
TU HPs: 1/16, 10/16
EQ HPs: 2/16, 10/16, 10/16
EX HPs: 10/16, 10/16, 10/16
No prequal for Citi or Chase websites.
More info needed
Are you saying you had 8 HP's in 2016 which resulted in 3 CC's (via your sig)?
If so forget about Chase ....sorry
EX/EQ scores?
Other TL's?
AAoA?
Or do you just want to hear app for this or that? Lol (some do now)
I'm a university student about to graduate and go to med school. HPs was an absolute headache. Applied for Chase Freedom Unlimited, pulled EQ/EX, denied for short CH. Applied for Citi ThankYou, pulled EX, denied because EX did not have correct address on file, Citi required second hard pull to reprocess. Then took advice on forum to apply CapitalOne Journey, approved 2k limit, pulled all three.
Currently two cards, only one new card, Discover it 1yr1mo old, C1 Journey 3 mo old, auth user on gas card 12 years old. AAoA on CR is ~4 yrs with auth user. Only other score I have is EQ VS3 744.
Haha, no, I'm looking to optimize cash back. I'm excellent at handling my credit limits. Credit utilization is 1% on total limit of 5.7k. Always payoff on time, to date not one cent of interest, no late fees. Previous recommendations were Chase Freedom, Citi DC, and either Chase Amazon or Synchrony Amazon. I'd prefer to get credit lines that are usable and reasonable early on to build my credit history, and I have no concerns about having too "big" of credit limit since I only charge what I can pay in double relative to my income.
What's funny is I didn't see your post until I posted ....There were no post when I responded Lol
What I found even funnier was you said go for a Chase card with 8 HP's 5 less than 3 months ago...huh
Why suggest sending into the lions den with a stick 5/24?
Spend a $1 at credit check total and get all three scores. That way you know exactly where you stand. Blispay could be another great option.
(Mod Cut-Removal of Link)
Got it (and cancelled..)
See signature.
AAoAs
TU 4.5 y
EQ 4.5 y
EX 0.7 y

I had more HPs than that when I apped for Chase. Lol
@ OP do you have any installment loans? Other than student loans of course.
Getting a Secured loan will strengthen your credit. Think of it as building a brick house.
Lay those bricks in the best way to help strengthen the entire house for the future add-ons.
No loans! On scholarship
I do have a "loan" through Citizens One... Apple's payment plan for an iPhone, interest free. Doesn't show up that way on credit report, though.
