AAoAs

TU 4.5 y

EQ 4.5 y

EX 0.7 y

Looks good..Only trouble I see is EX AAoA. Do you have any way of getting it up passed that 1 year mark or similar to your others?

Nope, other than the waiting game, I presume.

I do have a "loan" through Citizens One... Apple's payment plan for an iPhone, interest free. Doesn't show up that way on credit report, though.

Join Alliant CU in Chicago. Or if you have a Cu that offers it. Get a $500 SSL for 60 months or as long as you can. Pay it down immediately to 9% and let it report for the rest of the loan. Your scores will jump 30 to 40 points the first month it reports. There's a long thread in the forum's about this.

Re: How long to wait until nxt credit app

Do you have link to thread? Would love to read! What would the "cost" of such a move be? I would receive $500 for loan, and "pay down to 9%." How much will the move cost in total?

There you go. You'll have maybe $40 tied up in n it for 5 years. It's worth those pennies in interest.

Re: How long to wait until nxt credit app

So get this started, wait 1-2 months to show up on report, get a bump in score, and apply?

Sounds reasonable to me!

Yeah give it a couple months to settle in. Citi is such an unpredictable beast. I'd prefer the EX AAoA be closer to a year. Since they primarily pull it. As long as you're not over 5/24 with Chase. You should be fine with them. I wouldn't reapply with Chase for atleast 90 days. May want to grab that Chase Amazon prime to get in the door. Or one of the other cobranded cards that you can use. Once they get some history with you, they'll open up the flood gates.

Re: How long to wait until nxt credit app

Got the Alliant Secured $500/60 months. Just started reporting, it's on my EQ (not TU yet..). Dropped my EQ a bit but all scores have gone up from last score check from other factors. Pulled trigger on Chase Amazon Prime card, approved $3k, highest limit so far on low income (student). From what I can tell they pulled EQ, not sure about EX yet will have to check if they doubled later this month. Very satisfied Smiley Happy

Will wait about 3 mos then try for Freedom if score is looking good, then maybe 3 mos after that for Citi DC. Sound reasonable?

Can one expect a similar score jump with BK reporting, if I go get that 500 SSL for 60 months?
