I am officially in the garden until july 7 2014. I have tried many times before but since the recent denials, i realized it had to be done.
I was planning to do a few CLIs: Amex HHonors, Fidelity Amex, Chase Southwest, US Bank Club Carlson. Would this be to many to do at once?
Should i try for more or less?
Read the AMEX sticky in credit cards for CLI. Chances are US Bank and Chase will be HP inquiries if your already getting denials IMHO wait until July. YMMV

You can ask for 3x current cl for Amex.
USBank use to offer a possible $1500 SP CLI, not sure if they still have a policy similar but otherwise HP and I probably wouldn't do it.
Bank of America is pretty friendly these days if your util is low overall and you have been using it well they probably will increase but it is a hp.
I would skip chase.

Like others mentioned above, FIA/BOA will be HP. US Bank will be HP unless you have a pre-approved CLI by the system. Chase will definitely be HP...Choose wisely. Defitinely try for AMEX if your account has met the elegibility criteria.
Which cards do a soft pull for CLI other than AMEX?
I have the following:
Chase
Discover
Barclaycard
Citibank
Capital One
I was told by a Discover CSR through webchat that i would be elligible for an SP CLI after 4 months, which would be 1/29/14. But other then that i have no clue
they are all HP.
I would request CLI from all of them, just plan out the order so that inq sensitive lenders, such as Barclays, are requested first.

And, hopefully so. The outcome (SP vs HP) may still vary whenever you decide to request it so make sure you ask during the account's review.

I have the following:
Chase HP
Discover SP or HP (YEMV)
Barclaycard HP
Citibank SP or HP (YEMV)
Capital One SP
I tried calling FIA card services, US Bank, and Chase to try and get an SP CLI. (my wife is gone i had nothing to do). Have all 3 of my reports frozen so i knew i woudlnt get an accidental HP. FIA and Chase told me my report was frozen before i could even get out of my mouth that i was curious if it was an HP or SP. My assumption is that they tried to process the request and the HP was declined due to frozen reports. In this case i am glad they were frozen so it prevented two HPs. US Bank at least let me finish a sentence before pressing the go button and said it would be an HP. Guess the frozen report would block an SP anyways, but i feel like i am prepared better for the next calls to these banks for CLIs.
