How many cards do you carry?

I used to do that but went crazy trying to keep straight what was in my pocket versus at home so I switched to keeping all of them in my wallet.

It mos def is not! That's why I keep mine in the front pocket - and I have for years.

I think that came from very many years in NYC. Never even came close to having my pocket picked once!

My brother leaned the hard way while he was attending a college in NYC.  He got robbed. That was many many years ago.  When I went to NYC I felt completely safe.  I parked my vehicle in Harlem and later took the bus and subway.  My vehicle was still there when I got back from using the fun pass.

DW and I keep a very limited card portfolio in our wallet/purse. I only carry BofA and Wachovia debit cards and one CC, usually Amex, outside of cash. If some place doesn't take Amex, then I'll pay in cash. Now my downfall are receipts. I feel like George Costanza some days:

I used to be like that until I got this little scanner thing beside my computer. I run every receipt thru it and it stores copies of them on my pc. My accountant suggested this and said the IRS will accept the digital copy of it. I think it was only like 15.99 or 19.99 maybe at Office Depot on sale. That has worked wonders for my receipt mess.
