just cut my CL by 10K, try to get an INSTANT approval of RC, but obvious it is too late to get 2 annual bonus now, i will just wait until next year, there is always something good pop up with chase.
thank you guys for the advice, otherwise i could apply UA card again if the 55K bonus shows up and i am 24 month out by then.

11. Wow. Didn't know Chase would let you have that many. Btw what is United MPS?
Yup, used to have Amazon, Freedom MC, Freedom Exclusives MC, British Airways, Chase Rewards (a couple originated from FCNBD and WaMu) and the United Mileage Plus Select is a grandfathered Continental WEMC (now merged with United's MP program).
Thanks! That's a lot of Chase lovin :-)
Sure! All things considered (internal score, history, income, relationship), if you treat Chase well and play your cards right (no pun intended
), they can be generous. For the sake of simplicity and rewards structures I simply consolidated/redistributed the CLs on those older accounts to the current ones I have.
Can't churn em too much if you wanna stay in their good graces.
Exactly. Hence why I haven't had any issues with obtaining newer products from them. In the past (i.e. FCNBD or WaMU) they simply converted the former legacy products to the most appropriate one in their current product structure. It was no surprise for folks (post-conversion) to end up with 2 Slates or 3 Freedoms (MC & V).
Plus they keep track of individuals who churn, even with the most recent 2-year restriction. At some point, if you are unprofitable to them and have evidence of churning patterns, they will shut down your cards and will cut their ties (regardless how much $$ you have with the bank). If you like Chase and their products, never p**p where you sleep
Finstar- You said it well. Treat them well and you will be rewarded. Chase is great. Play it right and reap the rewards. The same apply to other banks. I was tempted the 24th to load my target redbird with my Amex delta gold - to meet spend. But then I started thinking, the disclosure said NO loading on prepaid cards and as I thought more, the redbird is issued by Amex and if I try that, they will see 3rd degree reporting - exactly what type of transaction I was doing. So i quickly put the cards away and went on my merry way. Worth it? ABSOLUTELY NOT.

If you were willing to take the hit on gift card fees, could just buy AMEX gift cards and then use them to load Redbird

Thanks Irish80, I hope you had a good holiday. Hmm..Never thought of that because there was no fee with the redbird. I probably will try that...

I did. Hope you did as well. That's what I plan doing and then using the Redbird to pay my mortgage

I know.. I love the redbird. Taking money at the ATM is free but it is only $400 a day. I have already met my CSP spend and will now move on to the ritz carlton and delta![]()
Opened 3 in 2014
I hopefully will get an offer from Chase for the CSP and will apply in in 2015. If I'm approved I will likely close my Freedom and move my CL over to the CSP. I'm not much of a category chaser. And gosh, I'm getting the AARP Chase direct mail offers all the time and maybe should apply for that too and consider it my daily use card?
I have no Chase cards.
Don't need one. I have enough credit ($40k) for my income of $75k.
One thing I learned spending 4 years in Ch 13 is how to pay with cash.
I'm not going to go app crazy just to get credit I don't need. I gardened a year prior to my app spree this week. I opened 4 accounts and closed 3 accounts I didn't need.
Back to to the garden till next year.

Then why have any?
