I was planning to app for a Barclays card, but I keep reading that they're inquiry sensitive. I have 4 inquiries from the past 4-5 months, although two of those were not for credit, but to join credit unions. I haven't had any others in the past year, but I do have 20 more that are between 13 months and 2 years old. Do they really worry about those since they are over a year old? Again, the only one's I have within the past year are those 4 from the past 4-5 months. Thanks.
I would honeslty say thats a YMMV situation.
You would see people with 8-10 inqs geting approved and some denied. Many other factors on your credit report would determins this.
From what I've read here, it's the amount of applications after you've applied and been approved for their card that makes them skittish.

I have 4 new accounts after Barclays and recieved a 1.2K CLI at the 6 month mark, so its a YMMV thing for all.
