Damn, I must be a lightweight!
I'm almost ashamed to post this.
Open: 9 cards
Credit: $102,150.00
Utilization: 9%
Inqs: EQ 2 EX 2 TU 1
BUMP
EQ 5 TU 4 EX 10
7 or 8 closed accounts, two with balances still paying, 2,400
Revolving CL = $250k excluding Closed accounts, CC utilization 11.3% per TransUnion measurement protocols.
The last 4 INQ on EX (the only bureau in the last four apps), between August 12 and October 28, each INQ had zero change to my score. The pile-on of INQ reaches a point where adding another of the same thing has less impact. Still some, but less impact than the first one. In many lender's eyes it still can have impact, sometimes.

I agree.

This is really what stood out to me in the post. The anxiety is real.
Otherwise, EX: 9 TU:4 EQ:2

Yea, I have quite a lot of Inqs from car buying and the 7 credit lines I've opened up recently. It felt like after 10, it doesn't matter much anymore as far as scoring goes. A lot of them being recent would probably scare away any CCC who I tried to apply for within the next few months, but as others said it really is a small portion of your actual score.

Not necessarily. Utilization is based on what reports at statement cut. They may simply be PIFing after statement cut rather than prior to.

While you can argue this case, the overwhelming statistics in the US indicate that this is probably not the reality.
