Anyway, IMO you probably should've been reconning during that 30 days. Most of the time after 30 days the creditor will have to pull a new report which defeats the purpose of trying not to waste the HP you take in the first place.

My advice would be to take care of the issues Chase stated in the denial letter and to reapply in ~6mos.

Sorry, for some reason I thought this was part of a separate comment.

The application is only two weeks old. I waited until the previous card was open 30 days, not the app. She didn't pull a new report or give me a new HP.

Chase do track recon phone call so I would give it 3 tries. If by the third time the answer is still a no then just drop it.

Anyway, I sound defensive, lol, no way around that, so I'll stop, but suffice it to say I am satisfied with the logic of the decline reason, and am not upset about their decision. But being relatively new to the myFICO boards I had seen people say that they had luck after trying the line 4-5 times, so just wanted some input.

I am in favor of you trying at least once more. Call back and just get one final opinion (perferablly from someone a little more friendly) and if you can't get it at that point well I guess you could always reapp for it in the future!

Gotcha, I misread your original post.

Still, I would address the issues listed on the denial letter and try again in 6mos.
