How often Credit Line Increases

I was wondering how often a person should wait before asking for a credit line increase from Visa and Mastercards. GERCB is easy to get CLI every six months but Visa and Mastercard might not be as easy. Thanks to all of you folks, you have really helped me.

I just call them and bump 4k to 8k. 6 months open.......USAA

From what I remember, USAA was not so quick ie GECRB with CLI's. things may have changed from when I had a cc with them.

I typically pull the trigger every 6 months or so unless it's been stated here or somewhere else on the internet by multiple sources that the typical wait period is longer.
