I've had the Freedom for about a month and a half, and already put about 3.1k on it (PIF of course), and I was just wondering when does Chase usually give CLI's, and does heavy spending such as my case may shorten the time they take to give one? I'm trying to just get a auto CLI if possible. Not in any need of one, just curious

There is no set criteria for auto-CLIs. Some can occur as early as 2-3 months, for others anywhere from 5-8+ months or beyond 10-12 months...some folks have gone for over 12 months without any auto-CLI. Heavy usage tends to favor certain auto-CLI trends but not always. Chase also SPs as part of their periodic review process in addition to internal scoring, and if your account is elegible, then an auto-CLI may occur. Alternatively, you can always request a CLI; however, be prepared for a HP.
I received one $500 CLI after my first six months with my Chase Freedom. That's been almost two years now and I haven't received another one since....
In the 1st year 1/2 I used it heavily and always either PIF or paid a huge part of the balance. Never been late - And this is how i handle all my acccounts across the board. I last submitted a request about 5 months ago and was denied. I am disappointed that this card will not grow so I've sock drawered it and moved on.
Everyone's situation is different so you may make out better with your Chase Freedom than I have. Good luck!
I've put in heavy usage every month since PCing to the freedom two years ago and have never received an auto CLI. I asked once for a CLI a year ago and they HP me for $500. I don't think auto CLI is Chase's thing tbh
Isn't Chase's 'thing' to move limits between cards? That would mean the proper way to get a Freedom CLI would be to apply for a plain Chase Sapphire, or Chase Amazon.com card, use whatever sign-up bonus you get, and after 13 months move the limit over and close the Sapphire or Amazon card...
Or so I assume from what I've read.
I had my Chase Freedom card for 3 years almost now, lets just say I was putting about $1200-$1500 a month on the card each month, always paid in full, yet they never gave me a CLI.
Greedy Chase :/
16 months here with no auto CLI from Chase
Although it's not a Freedom, I've had my Chase Amazon card since Oct 2011 and I've never received an increase
