Yep, I started with 10k on Amex, did the 61 day CLI and was denied. I just tried again tonight since I have officially had the card for 6 months and got the 7-10 day response again. Sigh

I've been a Chase cc customer for four years and ONCE -- ONE time -- I saw a luv button. But that was early on, and at the time I had NO idea how stingy Chase normally is with CLIs. So I didn't press it. It went away and I never saw it again. I've never gotten a Chase CLI ever.

Have you done anything to address the reason(s) for denial? Regardless of creditor it's not just a matter of time. It's all about your credit and their critiera. The only thing time does is improve your AAoA & payment history (if no derogs) and let things fall off.
7-10 could lead to a denial or it could lead to an income verification. The latter happened to me with my last CLI request with AmEx.

It lead to a denail. Amex is just not going to show me any love. Time gives them a history of my ability to pay back what I have charged and how my spending is. My credit is perfect. I'm not wanting anything to "fall off" on it. I don't have any derogs on it. So that's not the issue.
I'm going to start a new thread about it so that when others and searching the title, I'll get more response as to where to go from here with them and I can keep it together all in one thread when I need to go back and search for an answer.
Since this thread was started about Chase, I wanted to get back on topic and ask another question.
Since everyone stated that Chase is a HP, and I didn't ask for an increase, and they gave it to me themselves, does this mean they did a HP on me without asking? I hope not.
No HP if they did it

Awesome. Thank you.
