How to apply with frozen reports

Greetings,

I have my worst credit report frozen (Experian). I am battling for removal of 10+ unauthorized inquiries in addition to the plain fact that this is my lowest CRA rating. My TU is my mid around 640 (FICO) and my EQ (658~660). My question is how do I respond to creditors when the assk me in the application process to Unfreeze a frozen report? I know that I would be declined based on the score on the frozen report so is there some particular verbage to use in trying to get them to pull a more favorable unfrozen report?

American Express just called me in response to an application asking for my EX pin number. I told them I was going through some litigation about items on the report and would rather not remove the  freeze until it is resolved. They stated they could not use any other report because the app is pending EX report revelation.

Any thoughts on how this can be effectively handle for future reference?

Thank you!

You don't respond.  The're trying to pull the report you don't need them to.   Keep apping with other creditors.

Re: How to apply with frozen reports

Thank you and one last question. Let say I apped for a Citi card and they tried to pull Ex. If I apped for another Citi product, would it possibly pull another of go into the waiting queue behind the other app? I understand it may not be prudent to do so, but I'd like to if possible understand the underlying mechanics.

Thanks

If you app for a Citi card, and they try to pull EX, you don't app for different type of Citi card.  You will still be in Citi's computer system.  You want to app with a different bank.
